2 Comments Day 1: 3 Days of Emma - Makeup Tutorial

August 4, 2011

Emma Stone is one of the top most successful actresses at the moment, wouldn't you agree? She's starring in three movies that will be in theaters this month: Friends with Benefits, Crazy, Stupid, Love, and, coming out August 10th, The Help. In honor of her great success, I will be doing a "3 Days of Emma" feature (one day for each movie!) Starting off is a makeup tutorial that will teach you one of Emma's signature looks. Enjoy!

Step 1: First, start off with your every day foundation routine.

Step 2: Prime your eyelids and sweep a champagne color like Stila's "Kitten" from your lashes, up to your brows. Skip the crease contour to enhance the pin-up eye style.

Step 3: The product for this step is purely based on preference. You can use either black gel liner with an eyeliner brush or liquid liner to create a thick cat eye. Tip: Emma's eyes have natural cat eye shaped, so she can pull off any style of eyeliner. To make big eyes look more sultry, create a thinner line and pull the wing of your eyeliner out further than you normally would.

Step 4: Pop on some natural falsies if you'd like, or just comb one layer of your favorite mascara through your lashes. You don't want your lashes to compete with your sleek cat eye.

Step 5: Since your lips will be the focal point of this look, choose a more natural blush that won't compete. Try a peachy coral shade like Warmth of Coral from MAC's Semi Precious collection. For a guide to flatter your face shape, apply using my customized blush application post.

Step 6: Finish with a pretty hot pink lipstick. Check out my Perfect (Hot!) Pink Pout post for suggestions on this step!

Thanks for reading!

I love her makeup style, it's both pretty and sexy, without being too dramatic. Can't wait for the other 2 days of Emma! :)
